Works Perf aftermarket struts

Just as I had expected, since I rode Mike Chero's, it rides like you're on pillows as Mike put's it. Even landings off of small errosion ditches you cant really feel the landing & are kind of unsure exactly when the wheels actually make contact w/ the ground it's that plush unlike the stock set where up you can feel every little bump & if you went to stiffer springs it would even be worst. I also added the rebuilt PEP rear shock at the same time also but it's real test will be on the MX track w/ the stutter bumps which would kill the stock rear shock & the quad would be uncontrollable since the rear would rebound so slowly, now it's VERY fast rebounding. They also sent a spec sheet w/ the shock on settings & go into allot of complicated detail which is over my head. Since I use spacers & took ~60lbs off they entered all of this in to their computer to make the correct dampning, rebound, compression etc settings & it's now a 3 way progessive rate shock made specifically for my setup & riding style & I can safely land off of 5' vertical drop according to them. You kind of get spoiled & have to think back really hard as to how the old suspension setup reacted w/ what you were encountering at that particular momoent, when you realize that it's a big improvement over stock. The PEP was about $230. I also installed the HPD 12:1 head w/ porting so I was trying to focus on that at the same time. It's sure allot faster but actually not as fast as I tought, I guess I was just expecting more. I raced my friends Banshee w/ high compression head & open air box, twice in a drag & we were exactly tied all the way until he shifted in to 6th gear then he disappeared. It is SO amazing how fast those Banshees can go. He passed me once on the paved road about 15mph faster than I was going & I was wound out. I guess I need the 14:1 head next. Just joking, but the thought did enter my mind once or twice over the course of the day. My quad did stop running a couple of times after holding it wide open for awhile like it was starved for fuel so if anyone has any suggesions on what to look for I'm all ears. Thanks.

I am definately getting as set. I just have one question for ya: On the 2000 models, is the back suspension worth changing? If I saw right, it has double rate springs and the fox strut with remote resevoir. Problem is...it bounces like crazy! How do you adjust for that?

I'm not an expert by no mean but it seems to me the 10.5" is the same as the 8.5" rear suspension except theres just 2 more inches of the same thing. Meaning, the dampening is all wrong but according to PEP the Fox shock is a very good shock but they have it set up all wrong. It doesn't rebound quick enough either & the compresion valving is linear & they try to bandaid it w/ the spring. PEP put a new rear spring on it that is not variable since the valving of the shock is 3 stage progressive rate or variable. It rebounds very quickly so it should be MUCH more controllable in the fast rough stuff which is what I'm looking for. My motor wants to go faster but the suspension wont let me go faster on the MX tracks. I cant wait to test this out on the MX track but I guess I have to wait until spring time now. I know exactly what you mean about the stock rear end set up, it seems to have a mind of its own & goes where it wants, w/ or w/o you. I'll make a new post under PEP rear suspension when I get my ducks in a row. I've only ridden it once & haven't had time to make my measurements in heigth changes etc since there is a 2" sag w/ rider on board. I'll go over the spec sheet they sent also.
