Default ignition service

well the dealer called and left a message about some ingnition problem that they have to fix...takes 1/2hr...is this just the spark plug wire that rubs between the frame and gas take??? didnt say what machine it was for 03 sp 600 or 04.5 sp 500 (the 2 i have bought from him and still own)...cus if it is just that then i aint bringing it in...ok thanks...

polarisman3, its the 500, the plug wire can get caught between the brake junction block and the tank causing it to short out. if the wire is damaged they are replacing the coil. its up to you to have it fixed, but the last thing i would want is to be out somewhere and it short out or worse yet going up a long steep hill and it decide to short and quit. a simple fix could prevent worse problems.
