OT: I've riden a new direct inject two stoke sled this winter ... all i can say is WOW! ... gas mileage!, no smoke, easy to start, smoothhhhh, power, and quiet.

Looks like this is the way the snowmobile market is going ... BUT it's all computer driven! starting, EFI, power ... don't know if the ATV market is ready for that.

Well not that I know about any rumors, but what I think would make a good up-date to the 500 4x4 Scrambler would be EFI and a low forward ratio.

i learned this in atv safty last year at a jamboree, in like the minnesota state atv reg hand book or w.e it said that like any atv's over 800cc's werent even considered all terrian vehicals and they would then move into the off road vehical class. So if they were to make anything bigger then a 800 wouldnt that be considered a different machine with totally differnet laws? idk if im right but if some1 wants to correct me go right ahead

over 800 cc's is an off road vehicle ... but in only a few states, many states don't even have an ATV class, everything without an license plate is an off road vehicle.

As far as a scrammy upgrade I would say the 500 engine still has the potential for alot of hidden horsepower with a little headwork new cam design airbox change for better flow , better piston and of course EFI I would say with that done to it should be able to get the stock 38hp close to 58hp and still have a very reliable engine .
Change the gearcase design stronger lighter same as the swingarm and for the front a double A arm design. And bassically basically change the mild steel frame to chromoly tubing bring it down to about 450 lbs dry weight
Thats the quad I want you can keep the the big twin engines in the utility class .
Oh and while I am dreaming change the scondary to a roller and pop in the comet clutch

double A arm design on the scrammy would be very nice. it just dosnt look right with only one on that big of a quad.... btw a diff swing are guard would be cool to the lil disc is kinda chessy
