Hey you 700 guys.........my dealer was talking the other day, and I was in the room.......and he was saying he wished someone would do a comparision between the 700efi and the 800.......but with the 700 running the new 800's clutch........then he said we could actually see how much of the 800 is power, and is clutching.........what do you guys think, anyone thinking about doing this??? He said the 800's clutch looks like one back in the days where they didn't have ebs........how it is more narrow, allowing the belt to go further down.........

 

im sure it does let the belt run down farther because the top speed is 70+ which is outrageous for that big of a machine, would that even be compatable with the 700's?

 

well its over 80 CCs more then the 700, different header, and less back pressure in the exhaust so it'd still show its colors to the 700

 

Dirt wheels said in the last shootout that they were going to do a clutch shootout /comparison between the 800 and BF because they can't believe how close the two are in acceleration with the 800 being 170 lbs heavier.
So they must believe the 800 has a trick setup.

 

so is the dealer asking for a guinee pig or what?

 

Basically............it is Nicholas Cycle...........I mean, they try millions of setups on the pred.........The other guys like the big sportsmans, and the mud and stuff. It was just something they were talking about. I'm sure the two clutches are interchangeable.........Might be worth a try for someone on here...........I just didn't know if that info had been brought to your attention or not.........
