I got it here locally. They sell alot of them. Two of the 4 dealers here said they sold out their allocation.
Should get great mileage, I finally put 20 miles on it and changed the oil and filter to get the crap out from the factory. Doing a modified break-in, not an easy and not too hard, but enough to get the compression up to seat the rings. I have my own process since I used to race motorcycles and have seen different outcomes via different break-in procedures.
Anyways, so far I've bought:
An extended rear rack
A large tail bag to fit the extended rack
Tank saddle bags
Big Gun Quiet series full exhaust
Dynojet kit
K&N filter
Aluminum skid plate
Haven't installed anything yet, waiting until break-in until installing the performance parts. Want to do a valve adjustment before putting all the stuff on. Also mounted my Garmin eMap on the handlebars. I do realize something though, I need a full face helmet. I have an open face with shield, okay for riding the quad, but not enough for highway riding, too much airflow....need to look at helmets and come up with something...

LMAO because what you have is just too cool. I bet it pulls very hard and has a wide power band.
I tried lots of full face helmets. Started with the expensive ones and worked my way down from their. The thing was, none of the pricey ones fit good. Ended up with a $100. helmet that fits good. It has to be comfortable and should at least be Snell approved (it will have the word Snell on it). Snell is a testing foundation set up by the Snell family who lost a boy in a motorcycle accident. Every 5 years they test helmets to ever higher standards. If the helmet passes the Snell lab. tests, they will let the maker put Snell on it. Mine says Snell 2000.
Power and quality of a new bike like yours just makes me lol.

That's awesome, have you taken it off any sweet jumps? Sorry, just saw Napolian Dynomite. can't get that movie out of my head. I had a Suzuki SP125 and I loved that thing. They can take a beating. Had lots of fun on it. I sorta miss it now.

Haven't jumped it yet, was trying to get some miles on it between the rain storms....figures, New Mexico has sunshine something like 330 days a year....I hit the time that its raining....

I had a KLR650. Think I bought it in 1988. Other than a Honda 90 trail bike it was the only real street legal motorcycle I've owned. I took it on a dirt bike trail with many tight turns in and around trees. Only did that once. It sure made a nice around town type bike though. Other than being a little top heavy while off roading the only problem I had was the dang tires. They worked great on the street but didn't provide much grip on the dirt. At least not for the speed I wanted to go. If I was to change the tires over for the dirt then they would have sucked on the street. Needless to say it wasn't the right fit for me. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours more than I was able to. Take care,

I had a KTM 620RXC previously. It had some serious power, the KLR is pretty close and will probably be about the same when the performance parts go on....I was dangerous on that KTM. It was basically a dirt bike that was street legal, the KLR is a true dual purpose bike. I would pull wheelies at 60 mph on 5th gear on the KTM on any slight rise on the trail/dirt road I was riding. Fun time, but if I crashed and got hurt, I was by myself and a long way from anywhere.
