Default Looking at buying a 1999 500HO 4x4 Scrambler

I am looking into buy a 1999 model scrambler. It has the 500HO motor on it. I was wondering if this year model has the front chain drive or had it already changed. Are there any other down falls on the 1999 model. What might one be worth if it in good shape and has a pipe and clutch kit.
Thanks,
easystroke

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

A 1999 Scrambler has shaft drive front and chain rear along with concentric drive.A good price would be $2500-$3000 if it is in good shape.

"Easystroke", I too have been in the market for scrammys around this year, and I agree with "ftwflh", $2500-$3000 would be a good price, dont go over $3500 though.
