Wow , Isn't it ironic that it took such a long link to get to that site. Thats the way that he used to post LLLLLlllllloooonnnnnnnng. Sometimes you'd be reading his post and the next thing you know BAM your head would hit the screen when you would fall asleep.
All his post were pretty much the same. "Honda is the greatest" All else is inferior and if you don't agree with me you are an idiot and he would argue with you until YOU finally just got tired of it and went away.

Gordon's major weakness was that he did not suffer fools well. He was very opinionated and tended to be cutting to those who would respond to debates with less than factual information (you know the type "It's right because I said so!!!")
Personally, I think that we lost a reliable source of information when he decided to leave.
Just my $.02 worth.

I always liked Gordon Banks. He would send you a two page email covering any topic or question you might have for him. He helped me a lot when I got mine in 98. I guess you guys didn't like him because he thought that Polaris's were crap. His opinion. Mine too for certain models, but I still thought he was one of the best contributors to the forum. He was mainly on the old forum, that most people here never saw. He got back into motorcycles and that was probably the last of him. He used to race MX bikes I think.
From what I remember, he had a 300 honda with a 330 kit, a 97 prairie 4x4, and a 1998 Suzuki 500 that he traded in on a Honda 450. His summary of the Suzuki's power aided in my decision on the AC 500.
