Hey Dave, What brand of plow kit is that??? Is it a steel or plastic blade? Looks like it fits really nice, is it easy to take on and off? I plan on getting a plow for next winter, but not sure if I want to spend the $450.00 for the polaris Glacier plow. Thanks, Dan.
It's a glacier plow, if you look at one of the rear angle shots, you can see POLARIS on the back of the blade. It just has one of the plastic blade liners on the front.
Exactly....its a Glacier setup with the blade liner riveted on.....

As far as heated grips, I use these Cycle Country heated grips, pain in the butt to put on, but work great and you don't have that stupid metal switch that comes with units like 'hot grips'. Although, on either you can replace with a rocker that is 3 position (off, lo, hi)....

The dealer only sells rears, for one. Second, I only have a 400, and I figured that just rear chains would be enough strain. Once or twice this year I have smelled my belt cooking a little bit, even in low. That was my fault for trying to go fairly slow. Also, I am not sure how much clearance there is inside the front tires.

If I had a bigger motor, I probably would have gotten front chains, too. They make a big difference, but I don't want to hurt my precious Sportsman.

I got the PurePolaris grips, they work well and have a nice OEM-looking round 3-position rocker switch, like the one shown here, except mine is black and says HI and LOW.

Wow, thanks everyones for the replies! They should help me out greatly. I've one last question, and that is...Should I upgrade the tire? The 27" seemed too big, and the 25" too small....so I thought about the 26" mudlights...or should I just keep it the same? Thanks for all the help everyone

Unless you are getting a good deal on accessories during the purchase, I'd stick with the stock tires for a while. See how you like them and what they can do for you. They are 26" so they are pretty good sized. If you feel they're not enough, then get some mudlites or 589's.

The stock tires should give a nice ride on packed trails, too.

I like my stock tires, because I like playing in the mud and I like not knowing if I am going to make it through. What fun would it be to breeze through the mud with your 3 inch deep lugs without any fear of getting stuck at all?

I just put the brush guard on my SP 500 and like the look. I'm going to add a winch because it is a must have item. I ride in western Mass. and the trails are rough, I would not do it without a winch, some of the mud holes are deep. I also want to get a rear bumper. I recommend the bumpers because they are a little more protection. You will bang into things with the front and back into stuff in tight spots, not to mention the times you buddies stop quick and you run into them or the crash into you from behind.

Go for the winch first, what part of MA are you riding in ? Around here we have lots of mud and snow so the double tube bumpers front and back help Are you buying it at Armand's Power Sports ?

WGMARQ- wow nice pics dude, you should set up your picture gallery here on the atvconnection with some of those pics. all you have to do is click on MY PAGE on the tabs above and then upload photos directly from your pc to the site.

how did the EFI run after you pulled it out. that is a pretty nice picture. I have the same machine, check out my gallery by clicking on the camera. I really like the soft bag you put on your rear rack, is that a Polaris bag? how much was it?

I'm in western/southern mass, about 15-20 mins from Springfield. I'm close to connecticut, and the closest dealer to me is Enfield MotorSports. Where is Armand's Power Sports located?

If you wanted to travel a little further you could go to Shark Cycle in Stafford Springs, CT. I got a good deal on my 05 SP from them.

Armand's is in Halifax, southeastern MA near Plymouth. I just uploaded some riding pictures. We don't have too many places to ride on this side of the state but these pictures were taken out behind my house. Not a bad place to ride considering I just drive the 700 there right thru my back yard. But to answer silverbullet2005 it is a Polaris bag and I think it was $139 US but I get 20% off at Armands so it wasn't too bad a deal. I like to carry everything I might need to get out of anything I can't drive out of
