From the day that we bought our 02 sportman 500HO it has had problems with starting or the battery dying or something down those lines. I think it just can't make enough voltage to keep the battery charged or something. I don't know much about that electrical stuff. It seems like we always have to charge the battery, and often times end up starting it by hand (which is a good way to get your arm torn off on these machines). The lights also flicker when it is idling.

I know they change somethign in 03 to make the system better, and added a bigger battery. Is there anything I can do to our 02 to help it out or not? I think it is time for a new battery too now, is there a certain kind that is better than others?
