Default newbie question, atv/pvt

hey guys, love the forum.

can anyone tell me the difference between th cvt & pvt transmissions as listed in the polaris brochures for the phoenix & trailblazers?
and also what the "override" button is for on the left handlebar.

CVT is the type of trans (continuous varying transmission).
PVT (Polaris variable trans) is the Polaris version of the CVT.
Basically the same thing. The Phoenix must have the standard Taiwanese version.

Polaris has incorporated a safety feature on all their 4wd models. This feature, which is operational all the time when reverse is selected, will limited engine power and cut out the front wheel drive unless you push the "override" button.
The override button is to get full power (and 4x4 where applicable) in reverse instead of the timing being retarded.
