Default 1995 magnum 425 4x4 value?

an elderly friend of the family has decided to sell his atv and i have dibs on it..he told me make an offer.. it is in great condition with 1800 miles.he bought it new. never rode hard..the outer clutch cover has a hole burned in it and it needs a new belt..everything else looks good with light\ normal wear showing on the plastic.....very clean....looking to know what i may expect to fetch for this if i decide to invest in this and turn it for profit...thanks in advance for your input...

Hey Joe any thing less than $1800 would be great.I had a 96 and it was a good machine. Not as much power as a 400 but less trouble.

hey brad ,i was thinking of offering him 1800 for it, then i seen the clutch cover and belt problem.they seem to go for around 75 dollars used on ebay for the cover .. probably $100 by the time i could get one shipped.how much should i xpect to pay for a drive belt? the last one i got was a few years back for my xplorer and it was 30 bucks back then.. .the only reason i would get it is for a quick turnaround on ebay.there is one on there right now a 1995 with 5 days left to go already over $1800 and the completed auctions i've looked at for the 425's all go for over $2000.i'm pretty sure i can make some profit and still give somebody a good deal on this one... p.s. i'm really liking the new sportsman..it's nice to have the wife a ride of her own..she's on the sportsman and i've decided i like my 2 stroke 400.it's down now with a spun rear hub..'first one of those i've had to deal with, but looks like a easy fix.

You are close onthe price of the parts. If you just want to turn it use a old belt that you have replaced. But if you ride this Magnum before you sell it you may like it better than the 500.They are just as fast and have less moving parts aka straight axle.On your hub my 400 Sportsmanused to got through hubs all the time until I learned a trick of putting silicone on the splines before I put the hub on seems it gives a little cushon and they dont strip as bad.Let me know how this deal goes. Brad
