It doesn't hook up like a typical clutch as there is no direct link. The belt is going to slip before it does anything detrimental to the drive train, at least at the engagement levels we're talking here. The heelclicker spring engages about 2,000 rpm. I'm using an EPI spring (pink) in mine that engages around 1,400. These number are approximate.

What is the stock RPM engagement?

It's just off idle, about 1,300 rpm.

How well do the tires do in mud etc ?
Did you see 27's , thats what I was thinking
of getting. Would you recommend this tires?

I think they are great. I had Goodyear Mudrunners on my last quad and I think these Kenda tires are better all around. I really like the rim saver design. I know they make 27", but I don't think they will clear on the front without wheel spacers..

How tall are your 26" and with what psi ?
How tall is the tread ?
