I'm looking for some loading ramps.
Any input as to who makes a good, (SAFE) product would be a big help.

Thanks

First question.....

Obviously you're using these to load an ATV.... but into or on to what? Trailer? Pick truck? Flat bed?

Sams club has a 72" long set of trifold aluminum ones 50" wide for $97. 1200 capacity. I use them to load a 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660 into my Sierra 1500 shortbed with a tailgate height of 34 1/2" with no problem. I play it save and drive up them in 4 wheel lock. They work great and store under the ATV in the bed while transporting. Just put a lock from them to your bed when left in the bed of the truck....they are easy to steal. Some people drive their trucks on top of them so prevent theft wheile they're out using their machines.

Hi,

I bought a set of 6' ramps from Harbor Freight (on sale for $38.00). I use it to load my 500 Explorer (Sportsman) into the back of my F250 shortbed. They are rated for a combined weight of 1000 lbs. I am 300lbs and the Polaris is about 600 lbs. Have not had a problem yet.

Make sure your'e w/i the maximum rating and get a aluminum set with the chains or cable to secure to the truck so they dont slide out from under you.
I have the Fulton and they are nice, Sams has some good ones too as mentioned above.

I have the aluminum tri-fold ramp from Harbor Freight and it works great. it is light and fits right between the wheels under the quad when I load it into the truck.

Be sure and get the longest ones you can afford for a more gradual ramp angle. My F350 has a very high bed and the angle driving up the ramps is a bit scary. Your Z-71 probably isn't much different, and you'll be driving into a short bed. That's a little like landing an airplane on a very short runway. You can get out your tape measure and see what kind of angle you'll be dealing with. As mentioned by others, the trifolds are handy because they remain as a unit and are therefore less likely to slip out from undereath you.
