97 400L throttle cable replacement. I need help!
#1
I have been searching my bike for the reason for my throttle sticking. I found it. Some how I managed to bend my upper throttle cable near the headlight. This particular model has a 2 piece design I guess because of the oil injection. I called some local vendors and found the upper cable for $54. But nobody had it in stock. I then found the upper and lower cables for $96 and they were in stock.
I wanted to take my cables off and I am not sure where to begin. I understand the handlebar part. But, I do not understand what is going on around the carb, and oil injection. I pulled appart the junction 1-2 cable part. So I guess I am at the point of no return. Because I don't see how it is possible to hook that part back together.
On the carb and oil injection. Are their some settings I need to be aware of? That way it goes back exactly how it was. Could one of you guys geive me an idea on how to go about doing this project. I have a build book but it doesn't go over my particular carb and 2 stroke setup for some reason so I am now in the dark.
