how many miles does your polaris have
02 sportsman 400 with 3200 miles. no major problems. the biggest problem was a snapped U-joint in the right front axle it was one of those things that will eventually happen, and just a couple of boots and a snapped bolt in the rear suspension linkage thats, what happens when you jump it
its held up very well with all these "go-fast" parts I have on it, theres been no engine or drivetrain probs except for the U-joint, I did it in shop class at school so I got credit for it, it all worked out.

I only have 1 Polaris which is a 00 trailboss.
I have about 420 miles on it and use it for trail riding or mud riding and also plow with it during winter , it plowed up to 18 inches of snow with out a problem , I have 25 inch tires for it and put about 150 pounds on the back rack.
Now as for problems I have had....they were very mild and regular maintence.
Replaced belt , tie rod ends all around, back brakes seem to go fast , chain ware is also fast , replaced chain slider.
as you can see I really never had a problem with my polaris , just normal ware and tear.
I would recommend a polaris to anyone even though I am a Yamaha guy my self and have been in the ATV business a long time.

Coming up on 1800 miles
Replaced both front hub caps and o-rings due to them both leaking. I will be changing the belt in the new couple of weeks. Auxiliary brake not working properly but as we all know that's pretty common. Otherwise it runs strong.

2002 Sportsman 400. 2300 miles, no major problems. But I have replaced about ten to twelve cv boots, which is a pain in the @ss. Also on my second belt, and I broke off the 4x4 wire to the front left tire today. So I've got a little soldering to do this week I guess. Not impressed with the motor powerwise, but I guess I should have realized this before I bought the machine. On the plus side, it is reliable, and has always fired up, even in the extreame cold.
