Default MY FIRST 4X4

I am trying to get all the bugs out of my 1994 300 4x4. I started with this older model because I store it at my hunting cabin. So far i must of used 10 spark plugs. I had my oil injector set buy a local dealer.should i diconnect the line that feeds the oil? our should i let the oil run dry and premix my gas 40-1, we do not run the machine hard. Mabel to slow. what else can I look forward too. can anyone help this firstimer???? .....The Dearhunter

I wouldn't assume that it is oil over pumping that is fouling your plugs. Have you checked the jets or how your choke is adjusted?

also make sure you have the right plug and you are running it long enough to get hot.

also, if you want to premix, you usually have to do an injection block off for the existing setup.....

Hey DEARHUNTER. If you are running slow, you are better off with oil injection because it reduces the oil at low speeds/thottle settings over pre-mix. Like xcrider says, are you sure it an oil problem? A sticking choke, or bad plunger in the choke could cause it to run too rich causeing the same problem. I would be inclined to check the carb first.
I hope this helps you

you have to buy a block off kit from HSP, HPD or Aaen. I would leave the injection system and check the things others said.

welcome,
Jim
