Default Oil & Fuel filters- Trailblazer

I was wondering if anyone changes their own inline oil filter and fuel filters on a Trailblazer 250? The manual suggests that it be done by a dealer. What is involved in doing it yourself? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello 4Day. I haven't changed the filters on my quad yet because they are still too new. However, I would not hesitate changing them myself. One key thing to remember is that you must clear any air bubbles out of the oil injection line by bleeding the pump after changing the oil filter and prior to starting the engine. Both filters are held on with two hose clamps to rubber hoses.
I hope this helps you

Its easy, pull off the hose to the filter on oil line at the top first, install new filter on the top, then let oil drip out of new filter for a while, now remove bottom hose to the old filter and quickly install to new filter!
If your afraid you have air in line, then mix 32 to1 and put in tank and watch for oil resorvior to lower. When it does put straight fuel back in tank.
Fuel filter just replace!

Hey 4day did you ever change your filters. You never came back and replied...

Anyway how often do you guys think that the fuel filter should be changed...... I would figure about once a year but not that sure. Sounds like it would be easy. Do I need to pay close attention to anything while doing it. Dont seem like it would hurt to get air in the line or anything since people do run out of gas thus air in the line. Thanks in advance for the replies.
