Trouble with starting
#1
I have a 2004 magnum 330. When starting cold have to play with the choke awhile before it will stay running. Once warmed up it runs good. But after out riding for awhile we all may stop and talk for a few minutes. Then when starting back it doesnt want to start back up easily. It will just just crank a couple times on several occasions before starting. Everybody else has staarted and leaving before I get it started. The ETC has been adjusted several with no luck. It is out of warranty. Is there any simple things that I can try. I also have tried new spark plugs with the same results.

how do you adjust the jetting? Is it something I would let the dealer do. What about this dyno jet kit? Does the dealer order this? Is it hard to put on? As you can tell I dont know much. THANKS

Before you go toss a bunch of parts at it, have you tried doing anything different with the starting technique? Have you tried using about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle open for starting warm? That might be all you need to do.
Lots of quads are cold blooded, sometimes all it takes is a 1/4 turn richer on the mixture screw, and it starts like a champ.
