Well since the white spring is stock on a 400 TB try either a Polaris green or yellow. The yellow will give you more rpms on topend but the green wont engage as high.

I'd try the yellow. The green has just a little more stall than the white, after that they both have almost identicle shift rates.

The green and yellow are much different in the higher shift rates. The yellow is 44-185 the green is 42-142. So the yellow will have alot more top rpm's.

I put an orange one in my scrambler 400 with an hpd pipe and a RcR silencer. Will take it out tomorrow for the first hard run.

my 400 came with the white. I have ran the epi orange and polaris yellow.

to be quite honest when I made the change to the EPI orange to the yellow it seemed alot faster. I gained some top end even though it over shoots the power mark. The EPI orange is about perfect for a tame all out stock pipe setup.

I took the yellow out on the advisement of many of the clutch guru's in here. Also EPI has a yellow of there own. 95 engagement 145 shift.

I have a question about the orange spring. Just messing around in the yard I have noticed that I have to get on the throttle almost a 1/4 before I feel the belt grip and move the tires. Is this normal with the orange spring or am I going to have tranny problems soon?

which orange do you mean, polaris orange or epi?

im running the epi, I think it would be to low for the hpd pipe you have.

whats your clutching setup for that pipe by the way?

Anytime you change the primary spring to a more agressive one it will take more throttle to get it to move. Good for racing, fast trail riding but bad for rocks and slow technical stuff.
