2 hours and the engine need rebuilt

I believe a full HPD system will void any waranty you get from this. So whatever you do make sure everything is OK before adding ANY mods!. I waited till my breakin was done and then added a KnN and then after about 6 months of heavy ridding I figured if anything goes wrong now is prob. my fault, so I did the mods, only after I was sure there was no problems from manufacturing. My dealer checks everything before He sells it to make sure there is no problems, He even made sure the was plenty of gas!

A new engine is on the way. It turned out the oil pump worked the whole time. They think something was wrong with the casting of the block because some areas of the engine had oil, others had none. I'm just glad I'm getting a new engine.
I also talked with Polaris customer service before I found out I was getting a new engine. They were far from helpful. They basically told me to read my warranty and that it only says they have to fix the engine, not replace it. My dealer has been very helpful with the situation, but after dealing with Polaris customer service, this may be my first and only Polaris vehicle.
On a side note, my dealer said he was going to take the carb off of my old engine and put it on the new one. He said the new 500HO engines are now coming with a smaller carb. Any ideas why Polaris would start using a smaller carb?
Thanks for everyone's help on this,
Brad

your dealer is an a$$hole and that was a stupid dealer to sell you a quad
that wasn't prepared to be sell-out and ready to run,you worth at least
a new oil pump and that what it should happen, fight the dealer for a new
engine or get a least the whole rebuild on free warrenty issues.

Glad to hear that you are getting a new engine. Unfortunately, all manufacturers respond this way. They all try and take the easy way out.
Dealers do the same thing. They usually have two faces...One for their customer and one for the manufacturer. Every once in a while, you will find a dealer that seems to go above and beyond. Welcome to the world of ATVs.

This reminds me of a story my Dad (RIP) shared with me about a guy that just passed on.
So he's at the Pearly Gates and he is told that he did a pretty good job on earth and he could inter the kingdom. But he would have to make his own decision. Thus he would spend a day in hell before he could enter paradise.
Well down he goes as he steps out of the elevator much to his amazement there is the wildest party going on. Wine woman and song etc. he had the greatest time up all night.
The next day up to St. Peter needless to say he wanted to go to hell. Back down on the one-way ride as the door opens a blast of heat hits him. Satan jabs him with a burning pitchfork. Refusing to accept the horror he pleaded," What happen to women and the great party".
The prince of evil responded, “Yesterday you were a prospect today you’re my customer".
Shonk
Ps This is a fictional story any appearance between Satan and my service manager is purely coincidental
