Default Jetting problems!!!

I installed bigger jets yesterday on my trailblazer 250 and it will bog down on me if i sit and let it idle and then try to go. I have an aaen pipe on it and went to a size 145 from 130. I was told it is for warm weather and it was about 55 yesterday. Was it to cold or should i move the needle up one notch.

Default Jetting problems!!!

It didnt bog completely with the 130 in it but it didnt have quite the juice to make it up hills. Plus it hurt my top end power bad, for it wasnt getting enough gas to compliment the pipe. The power would just slip by. But with the 145, it would only bog on low end. But if i cruise down the road, wide open, it would pick up a whole bunch over the 130. The spark plug in it now is oily black which isnt bad. i am going to put in a new one in in a little bit to see how it will really turn out. I was thinking maybe with the clutch kit it wont do it because it willl be running at higher rpm's before take-off. The problem is i dont have a clue what clutch kit to get. I'm not sure wether aaen has a clutch kit or not and i dont know if the hpd clutch kit will work with an aaen pipe. Have any suggestions?

By the way, nice sportsman.

I was haveing simular problems with my 700 if it idled and the you tried to take off it would bog. If I was cruising down the road it would do great. Mine was to rich so I took off the snorkle on my airbox and man did it really help no more bog and throttle response was great. Try letting more air in and see what that does. If not to sure what kinda clutch you should get I'm running a Heel clicker in my 700 and I don't think they make one for a trailblazer 250.

Tblazer,

AAEN does have a clutch kit to match. What pipe do you have? The pipe will perform alot better with a clutch kit. The 145 main sounds good but you need to adjust the needle. It sounds like it is rich. If it idles and then slowly starts to die then it is rich. Go up 1 clip position on the needle.

I will have to try it without the snorkle. And yes i did go up one needle position and it helped but didnt completely solve the problem. I have the aaen power pipe.

You need the AAEN atc30017 kit for that pipe.

Thanks!Do you think you can post the website for which i can buy it at? Hey sportsman, i took the air filter cover off and it solved the problem. I think i will customize a filter cover to put directly over the filter. The funny part is i almost flipped on a big hill, wheelied right up, because i didnt realize it had that kind of power now.haha.

Thats good because the top end pipe is better anyways. The site is

aaenperformance.com

Get the kit that matches the pipe and it will really move.
