Default Shifter disassembly

I have a Polaris Magnum 425 that I am working on, I can't get the shifter to go into low. The slider on the gear selector for low range is sticking. I can't get the interlock out to pull the slider out, any tips from anybody? I did get the slider free enough to move, but would like to pull it out and polish it so it doesn't stick again. Thanks for any info.

You will need to unhook the shift rods, pull the shifter offthe bike take the screws out of the lid taKe take the shifter out and check the oil level and the half moon rocker it the bottom of the shifter.Bet it is low on oil.

Yes, there was no oil in it, it was rusted enough that the low range slider detent wouldn't move. I got it freed up by milling a slot along the detent hole, but need to figure out how to get the half moon interlock out so I can slide the shaft out and put it on the lathe to clean it up.

Fill the shifter housing with WD40 and let it soak a few days it should fall out.
