what octane?

I was just wondering what octane you guys are runing out there. I normally run mid grade about 89 octane but i think from now on i will run the best. I have even heard that a lot of guys even put octain boost in is this worth it? Will it acaually run better?

Your machine is designed to run on 87 octane. Anything more is just separating you from your money. Changes in ignition timing or compression could result in the use of higher octane. Avoid octane boost, some of the additives they put in these mixtures will discolor the spark plug.

I agree 100%!

You will see no gain in performance in using a higher octane fuel. Higher octane is used for high/higher compression motors. Dont waste your money expecially the way gas prices are right now. If you hear that it will give you better performance is a bunch of crap.

if you use a higher grade of gas, when your machine is designed to be running 87, y ou will actually lose performance (dont remember how this works exactly) do a search on the forums and I am sure you will uncover something, this topic has been done alot in the past
