hey guys is a 1997 scrambler 4x4 have a chain in the front? what year does it start with drive shafts

 

Yes, if its is 4x4, the 1997 model would have a chain drive front. They started the shaft drive the next year, I believe. I know my 1999 is shaft drive. Just my opinion, but that chain rive front scares me. Too much to keep up with. Some people don't like Polaris atv's. It is undeserved, they are good machines, but I think that chain drive front gave them the bad rep for a little while.
