Rath Racing sells kits to strengthen the frame. You might check them out.

The Rath kit is pretty straight forward. You're doin' right in thinking of making sure your "base" (frame) stronger.

Do I need to worry about this if I only ride trails?

It's always good to error on the side of caution. Since the Pred plastic is sooo quick to remove, access for the project is quick. How does the saying go....Git R done!

If you ride agressively, it's a good idea.

Do you have to tear your quad down to get them in or are they in easy to get to spots?
