Drive Belt
#1
Has anyone replaced the drivebelt themselves? I have an 2005 Phoenix that since I took mud into the intake seems to not have it on some hills. Looking at the drivebelt I can see some shavings.
Is this a hard task that should be left to the dealer? If so anyone have an estimate $$ and if I can do it myself which comes off? The clutch side or the drive side?
Right now it looks like I could slip it over the drive side but not the clutch side. Or do both sides come off??
Thanks

i am not to familiar with the pheonix but typically a drive belt is removed from the secondary or driven clutch...thios is the clutch that is NOT on the engine simply pull the belt to the side over one of the shaves and then twist the clutch so as to spin the belt off it..or twist the sheaves and pull the belt up to spread them apartand then just slide it of the clutch
