Default Help Trailblazer 250 mods

I just bought my first ATV, 05 polaris trailblazer 250, and I'm looking to give her a little more snap. I want to pipe and clutch it but I'm not sure what would be the best way to go. What pipe or clutch kit would you suggest going with, and is there any other quick easy mods that I can do.

I did the HPD exhaust and clutch kit. Came with everything including main jets. Fairly easy to install especially if you ever worked on a snowmobile clutch. It will be alot louder. Since you'll be running premium gas, I would also look at milling the head to boost the compression since they don't offer a thinner head gasket. Polaris is pretty conservative on the compression side. Hope that helps. You should get alot of opinions on this one.

Budman: Does HPD recommend premium gas when using their kits?

Hammer250: I got a HotSeat Performance Speed kit for a 00' trailblazer off ebay that will be on by the end of the month, i'll let you know my opinion of it then. I've also been reading great things about the HPD setups from Ritter, great value for your $$.

We have the HPD kit on our TB and we run reg pump gas but I didnt mill the head.If you go with the HPD get the GOOD silencer not the cheapest one it is very loud and the HotSeat is even louder.

Yes, they recommend premium. I have the same kit on my 400 scrambler and it's just a safety factor, especially when it gets hot outside to run good gas. You might pick up a little horsepower on 87 octane, but it isn't worth it when you detonate a piston. I even run premium on my stock 250, because I can't keep track of everything. My DS650 also runs high octane, although some guys don't. My opinion, it's not worth worrying about and you won't feel the HP differance. I'm not sure what Rick Ritter has, but my complete kit was $320.

I just picked up a 2000 Trail Blazer that has a Hot Seat Perf pipe/silencer on it. Pipe looks to be in VG condition with no dents. Who wants to trade for a stock setup in at least as good'a condition?

This is way too loud for us old folks. This will be my wifes ride this yr. My kids will be riding it next yr and parts of this yr - but they don't need that either. LOL!

Going on a ride with this machine in a week and a half and want it quieted down before that.

I'm in NW Ohio.

PM me.

Edit - I had down trail boss originally. OOOOPS!
