I just traded in my Wolverine and purchased a 01 Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4. Well i love this thing to death its an awesome atv. But all my freinds tell me that the reliabilty on Polaris isnt good at all is this true? Can i expect my atv to hold up or not?

Put in the time to take care of it. Keep up on the servicing and it should be a great machine. I currently own my 2nd and 3rd Polaris's and I love them. The only reason I sold my first was to replace it with a bigger, newer Polaris. Good luck with yours and welcome to the Polaris family.

I have a 2000 Scrambler I've beat to death and it's still kickin' without a single problem! I think there are good ones and bad ones just like computers, cars, microwaves, etc...

The 2001 Scramblers have the updated tie-rod ends, as well as the updated steering post bushing. Keep up with the maintenance, as you should with any quad, and it will serve you well.
