Looks like you had tons of fun! I wish I could jump out of my seat right now, load my quad up and go there but I cant right now. I'm going to have a chat with my girl friend and a few on my buddys and see if we can plan a trip there maybe somtime this summer. I'm not that good at steep hill climbs yet on my sportsman 500. Are there triails around all the huge hill climbs out there?

Actually I was kinda worried before we got there thinking that I was gonna have to play catch up but I was out in front most of the time unless someone else was leading then we all had to stay about 20-30 seconds behind each other because of the dust. we ended up riding the atv's to Mann and went to the local do it right hardware store and bought those white painters masks so we didn't have to breathe in the dust/dirt while riding.

If you click on the "my photos" link below and look at the first picture of the Browning Fork Trail map you'll notice that all the trails are color coded Green is the easiest but still pretty challenging, Blue is sort of like Medium difficulty and the Black trails are mostly for experienced riders who want to test their luck and their machines. the only black trails we ended up riding were trails 26 and 25 on the map which was alot of fun. I wanted to go from 26 to 27 but we had to take 25 to take the no access road to see the abandoned cabin which is in my photos. we stayed off trails 93 and 94 because you have to winch your machine over large cliffs/rocks in the middle of the steep inclined trails. your 500 would have no problems riding on any of the trails we rode. pretty challenging/difficult but alot of fun and what a workout on both you and your rig.

Silverbullet2005, Great pictures, thanks for taking the time to post them. I've got to go there. It's on the top of my places to go ride. We've got some great places to ride here in the Ozarks that look like WV but are just a scaled down version. My whole family is ready to go after seeing your pictures. Awesome job!!

PolarisCruiser04 - I took down $250. I drove the Dodge Ram quadcab with Jims (RxRaptor02) grandfathers 18' car trailer. we had my 700EFI, Jims Raptor, Leo's Raptor, and Mikes DSa650 and Quadzilla, If I do another trip like this I will limit each person to 1 atv just because of the extra weight. I brought my cooler down but next time I will bring my cooler prefilled with stuff, I would bring packages of hotdogs, chips/crackers, 2-3 cases of bottled water, 2-3 loaves of bread, sandwich meat and condiments, another quick easy meal is to eat ramen noodles. it's alot cheaper to bring stuff with you than it is to buy a bunch of stuff while your down there. bring plenty of clean under garments and some riding gear such as helmet, goggles, gloves, riding pants, jersey, work/riding boots. next time I will have two pairs of riding pants to switch back and forth while the other pair is drying because after your ride you'll be pretty dusty/dirty/muddy so you can spray off your clothes with the water hose and let them dry and wear your second set. These trips are nice because you get a better idea of what to bring with you and what to leave at home. another nice thing to bring are those folding/collapsable chairs so you can sit around the camp fire, I even used the campfire to cook my hotdogs and the cans of chicken & dumplings that I bought. we split the gas and lodging 4ways which ended up at about $175 each plus food and gas for the atv's so really it wasn't to bad and I came home with money in my wallet. next time I will also bring a wash bucket with carwash liquid and also a container of laundry soap to clean my clothes. we got lucky and the Browning Fork Trailhouse had a higher than normal pressured water hose and laundry soap we had access to along with free long distance phone calls to call the wives and let them know we hadn't fallen off a cliff or something. I will plan ahead next time a little more as far as what I will be bringing and packing. there is so much to say or tell you that I would almost have to write a small guide book.
