Hey silverbullet2005. Sounds like you had a great time. The pictures look great!! And you answered one of my questions; that is, can two wheel drive quads negotiate the HM trails.
Thanks for the update

I drove the Dodge Ram quadcab with Jims (RxRaptor02) grandfathers 18' car trailer. we had my 700EFI, Jims Raptor, Leo's Raptor, and Mikes DSa650 and Quadzilla, If I do another trip like this I will limit each person to 1 atv just because of the extra weight. I brought my cooler down but next time I will bring my cooler prefilled with stuff, I would bring packages of hotdogs, chips/crackers, 2-3 cases of bottled water, 2-3 loaves of bread, sandwich meat and condiments, another quick easy meal is to eat ramen noodles. it's alot cheaper to bring stuff with you than it is to buy a bunch of stuff while your down there. bring plenty of clean under garments and some riding gear such as helmet, goggles, gloves, riding pants, jersey, work/riding boots. next time I will have two pairs of riding pants to switch back and forth while the other pair is drying because after your ride you'll be pretty dusty/dirty/muddy so you can spray off your clothes with the water hose and let them dry and wear your second set. These trips are nice because you get a better idea of what to bring with you and what to leave at home. another nice thing to bring are those folding/collapsable chairs so you can sit around the camp fire, I even used the campfire to cook my hotdogs and the cans of chicken & dumplings that I bought. we split the gas and lodging 4ways which ended up at about $175 each plus food and gas for the atv's so really it wasn't to bad and I came home with money in my wallet. next time I will also bring a wash bucket with carwash liquid and also a container of laundry soap to clean my clothes. we got lucky and the Browning Fork Trailhouse had a higher than normal pressured water hose and laundry soap we had access to along with free long distance phone calls to call the wives and let them know we hadn't fallen off a cliff or something. I will plan ahead next time a little more as far as what I will be bringing and packing. there is so much to say or tell you that I would almost have to write a small guide book. LOL
Thats not bad at all! I will prob take down an even $300 just to make sure I got enough. My gf loves quad riding with me but doesnt own or have axcess to another quad other than mine. Can you ride people on back of the quad on those trails? I dont think you can but hey I still gotta ask

Yes and No, No your not supposed to but Yes you can as long as it has the two up style backrest seat attached like alot of the larger praries/bobardiers do. alot of the trails though I still wouldn't feel comfortable riding two on but you could always rent a quad for her or borrow one from a friend if they don't mind. When my wife and I were looking at the atv's I asked her if we were gonna buy one or two and she said well we could get by with one and just take turns with who is riding on the back, as soon as she said that I knew I was buying two atv's because I for one hate riding with a passenger even if it's one of the nieces or nelphews just for the fact that I like to ride fast and hard and alot of the times I am the one to go through the huge mud pits and climb large hills and stuff so I just prefer to ride by myself when at all possible. If your GF likes to ride why not save up a bit of cash and find her like a 250 honda recon or a majave or something small but very capable, my buddy Leo who is the one with the tricked out raptor in my pics has a 250 honda recon and it goes through alot that most sports can't go through and it's only 2wd which may answer other guys/gals questions no you don't need 4wd to make it through the trails at HM unless you plan to ride alot of black trails. the reason we only rode two black trails while down there is because all the other trails have huge cliffs and obstacles in the middle of the trail which everyone says you have to winch yourself over to get to the rest of the trail and I didn't want to ruin my winch to get the other three guys through to the end.

I am having scramblerXrated make me up a couple pvt decals which works out pretty good because I just installed the new belt/clutch cover and it didn't come with a polaris ebs decal on it so there won't be anything to have to peel off. I'll take pics as soon as I get them.

Thanks for the helpful advice! I'm going to see how much it is to rent a quad for her. I hate riding people on back too. I tend to get alittle crazy behind the wheel My buddy has a recon and DAMN it goes awesome through the woods. How much do you think I will pay to rent her a quad for 2-3 days?

atv rentals I don't know where this place is but I found it on the internet and prices for a full day are $125, they may offer two day deals as well.

Browning fork trailhouse call and ask for Marty

email Marty and Lisa at the Browning fork trailhouse and they can give you a few local atv rental places that they deal with. let them know that Dave Krueger from michigan was just up there and he referred you, I think he said they give better deals when referred. next time we go we are gonna stay with Marty and Lisa again without a doubt, nice place to stay and access to the trail system is right behind the trailhouses. plus he offers a high pressure water hose to spray off the atv's, keeps the fire wood stocked and offers free long distance phone calls. most of the other places we looked at are nice but don't offer all the extras and even charge you a fee for coming in after like 11:00pm and have other stupid rules and no fires etc. what a joke ya know I mean your on vacation and you can't even make a fire come on plus they cost twice as much as the browning fork trailhouse and that's all you get is a place to stay. oh yea and Marty/Lisa also sell hats, stickers, T-shirts, and you can get your trail passes from them as well which makes it really convienient so all you need to do is show up and start riding.
