Don't know what the problem is. Quad has been garaged all year in cold temps., but has always started. It warmed up so we rode it then put it away. I went out to start it and nothing. I jumped it with a protable jumper and it fired. I took the cables off and the bike dies. The only way the bike runs is if the jumper is hooked up. Battery or charging system????????????????????????????

 

First welcome to the forum and second what are you riding and how old is it.
It sounds like your battery is gone.
Okay--I see it is a 2003 trailboss.

 

Your battery is dead! It will not run with a dead battery. You get a new battery from walmart.

 

Thanks! That's waht I thought, but wanted to get some feedback before getting ripped a new one by the dealer.
