I snapped a chain on my 400 Scrambler and as I was getting ready to put a new chain on today I noticed that I can move the rear sprocket back & forth about 1/2 inch forward & backward. There is no play from side to side. Can anyone tell me if that's a problem or is that normal. This is the 1st time I've had the chain off so I really don't know if it's supposed to have a little play in it or not.

The 3 bolts that hold the sprocket are loose,if
it has been that way for awhile you will have to
rotate the sprocket to the other 3 holes.
You mat have to replace the 3 bolts also.

GOOD LUCK
