Pred jetting help
#1
I just ordered my Rath header pipe for my 03 TLD Pred 500.
I have been running the PP slip on with turn down tip. I run the Rath air intake with K&N. I have an aftermarket CDI. Currently running 13-38 sprockets. I am currently up one jet size only, on the main jet. All else stock carb.
I ride mostly at sea level, mostly sand. I am 5-9 and 180 lbs.
What should my main jet be?
Any change in the needle?
Any pilot jet change?
Any air fuel mixture screw reset?
Anything else?
Anyone have this experience to help me? (I only want to rejet once, if possible.)
Thanks.

RAJ, you mentioned to turn the air screw out 3 1/2 turns. I dont see a adjustable air screw on my 04 predy. the reason i ask is i went to the dunes today. abit cold but not much. the quad seems to hickup or miss when I was climbing. didnt do this the last few times Ive been out. Im guessing since it was cold that it was a lean problem.

I talked to Daryl Rath today and he is running 2 1/2 turns out on the screw, stock pilot, and a 160 main. Needle in 5th position.
RAJ - What position do you run your needle? Is it the stock needle?
