WOWOWOOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOWOWOWOOWO!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off let me thank everyone here. Ive been reading the forums for a while trying to figure out what I wanted to buy and I couldnt have been happier with what I chose.
I had it out last weekend, just breaking it in and putting around. At the speeds I was going and how easy I was on the bike I couldnt really tell just how nice the bike was.I through a WB pipe on it and had it out yesterday. The bike is amazing! The bikes I ride with are: banshees, raptors, 450's, and 400ex's. The other bikes cant even compare to the TLD. It has the all around best feel. I havent ridden the STD so I dont know if its the trans or not but the front end comes up when ever you want it to. I was really worried about not liking the tranny before I got it but all my worries are settled. The gearing feels like my old banshee but with lots of low end power. Theres no flat spots from 1-4, just all power. 5 gear flattens out, but by no means is it sluggish. It feels like overdrive. In the trails where my friends raptor puts and sputters in low speed 2 gear, the predator pulls hard. I found myself mostly in 2nd and 3rd, hitting 1st and 4th when needed. The suspension is really really forgiving. I rode about 5 hours hard yesterday and it felt like a walk in the park. I was begging for more while everyone else with stock suspensions was begging to stop. The bike is posted as being one of the heaviest sport quads out but It feels the lightest in action. The stock maxxis radials really help to be able to whip the bike around. Theres a bunch of open feilds where I ride so I had the opportunity to really open it up. I lined up against a raptor 686 with stage 1 cam, banshee with a full HMF exhaust, jetted, intake, and reeds, and a 400ex with jsut and exhaust. Of course I easliy walked away from the 400ex. The gearing really comes into play here. Every time I raced the raptor I was able to pull away through the first 3 gears making about 2 quad lengths from him and held on to it till we ran outa room(almost top speed). The banshee I was able to do the same off the line but around 4th he would start to close and then catch up. If we didnt have to slow down, he prolly would have pulled a bike or so length on me. So yes!!! its even good for dragging! =] But im more of a trail rider and the bike certainly does shine in the trails. I let all my friends have a spin on it and they all loved it. They all said how light it feels, how easy it steered, and how comfy it was to ride. In my opinion, the TLD is the best all around quad out today.(this is coming from a non-fan boy).
For anyone who is worried about the tranny, DONT BE!!! If you do mostly trail riding, you will love the trans, you always have power no matter where you are in the gear. You can loft the front end over everything with ease and keep it down wen you want to. At first I was upset that I didnt get the LE, but I couldnt justify spending an extra 1k for the regular tranny, bumpers( that I didnt even like).I do wish I had the white plastics but o well. Im glad I went with the TLD.
Sorry for the long post but Im sure this will help someone decide =]

Congrats on the new purchase! I feel the same way about my TLD.
The LE is a great looking machine, but I try to avoid white plastics. They tend to get stained easily. The TLD ended up being a great purchase for me.

1k more for the le! WOW i only paid 300 more for my le over my 05 tld. i think they are 700 more than the std pred. i am glad u are happy. i agree on the suspention the podium x shocks are sick. i ordered a set for my 04. i should have them this week. i paid 400 for both. not a bad price for such a big upgrade in shocks. after riding the le or the tle i hate riding my std becouse of the suspention. the only thing i have a hard time with is how easy the front comes up. i have not been able to figure that one out yet.

I am getting it for $5800 OTD so yeah, it is about $600 more for a LE for myself.
