Default 800 Owners - need help

I installed an 800 header on my 700 and installed the 800 frame/motor mount bracket which connects to the header in some way, shape or form. Can someone describe to me the components that go from the frame bracket to the header. Polaris' parts diagrams omit this one feature and the related components, so I'm at a loss as to what I need to do this right. If anyone has a pic of that area, that might help me as well. I'd go look at my local dealer, but he probably is still trying to move some 2002 500s he has in stock my last trip there. (I bought my 700 out of town.) Thanks!

I just looked at mine and the only thing that is connected to the header that I can see is the heat shields. I don't see any bracket that goes from the header to the frame. Can you show the Pic from the parts diagram so I might get a better idea.

Let me better describe with I'm talking about. If you go the pic in my gallery, you will see a welded on bracket on the top pipe just rearward of the forward heat shield. The frame bracket I installed is a plated piece that bolts to the frame rail and has a slotted hole its upper portion that the motor mount stud is attached to. The lower portion of the bracket is bent outward to come closer to the header and has a very small hole that lines up with the slotted hole in the header. You can see the diagram here, select 2005 800 and look at the Engine Mounting section (#13).

I see it. On my 800 the welded bracket does nothing. It just sits there. That other bracket #13 is just above that with 2 bolts on the engine, then going up to a single bolt that mounts to the frame.

Well that would explain why there are no components in the diagram for attachment. Looks like I bought a bracket for nothing. Thank you very much GE4x4

No problem!! Let us know if you feel any power difference. By the way, that header came out awsome. To bad so much is hiden behind the plastic.

Will do. I'm adding an FMF Powerline exhaust and bumping the timing with an offset timing key at the same time, so it may be hard to tell which component contributes the most improvement. The ceramic coating was more for rust protect and heat reduction than looks. I'm sure it won't look purdy long.
