Default counter balance on 400

I have a polaris scrambler 400. Last week I changed the counter balance oil. My wonderful brother checked it and put the dipstick back in. I went to check the oil level today and the dipstick was gone. I found it on my skid plate. I pulled the plug and low and behold the oil was milky. I have washed this bike about 3 times since I changed the oil. Should I assume that I need to rebuild the bottom end or can I run about 3 quarts of good oil thru it to get any milky oil out. I did no
t run it thru any mud holes or deep water. Please help.

Just change it out for starters. Then run it and then check it and see what it looks like.

How long should I run it? Should I just let it idle or should I take it for a ride? Will I have to change it a couple times before it clears up or should it clear right up after one change.

You will be ok,if you just ride it a couple minutes.Drain it and refill it until all the water is out of it.It may take one or two times to get it clear again.

I changed it once now and it is still milky. I will run and drain again tomorrow to see what happens. Thanks for all the help. Trying to get ready to go on a 4 day ride at Hatfield and McCoy and don't want any problems.

I would do it a few more times at least. It's a pain I know but believe me it will save you big bucks down the road. Trust me I know.

as the engine is hotter better the oil will flow so wait after a ride to
do the cleaning duty, remove the drain plug, drain the oil, take good penetrating lube like maxima mppl, then spray it through the top hole
through the counter balance til the down's end,to let it flow and clean,
repeat til you got the cr@p out, then refil oil to dipstick level,
then go riding then repeat til oil is not wet.
