HI, i had a question about your reverse override kit,
I just baught a 3 light kit off the net, it's fine, easy enough to installl.
along with it he or she, who knows theses days, tossed in instructions on a reverse override,
The problem is when it is on it errors the speedo. They were upfront about it and they didn't charge for it. But, i'd like to come up with a better solution to not having to hold the override button while backing.
I see that you have a reverse override on your mount. Could you explain how it functions. and if needed where you got the instructions. It seems like it's only a 12 v toggle switch.

Thanks if you can shed some light or anyone else, thanks

I got the 3 light modification kit for my 04 sportsman, and it came with the reverse override instructions. I installed the reverse override switch (I tried the relay first and it did not work corectly) so I went to the toggle switch. It was simple to install and has worked great. It makes backing up in 4 wheel drive very easy. (Have needed a few times on some of the trails we ride.) The only problem I had was I used a toggle swith that flipped from side to side to turn it on and off. I turned to sharp once and broke the switch. To remedy that, I replaced that switch with a push button toggle switch and so far so good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I understand what it is for, but what i'm most concerned about is when using it does the speedo read "ERROR" while the toggle is on?

Thanks again,

Mine does not read error. It changes to the hour meter. Just have to press the button to get back to rpm meter.

I'm not near the ATV now. I'll check this evening and let you know. It was really simple though. Took about 5 minutes..
