Careful using the winch without engine running, don't want to kill the batt out in the deep woods. Don't expect good fuel economy, do keep extra fuel handy. Change out ALL the fluids at 50 hours, except coolant of course, and use genuine Polaris aside from the engine oil where the Amsoil 0w-40 4 Cycle is cheaper and surely just as good. Check your brake rotors/discs fasteners, my rear one was loose at 80 hours, take tires off and snug up bolts. Be sure to torque wheel lugs to spec when you put tires back on. Check if carb update was installed, may run poorly in cold if not done yet. Run the VIN# at a dealer to see if it was done. carb update page 1 carb update page 2 Place cursor on document and enlarge button will appear. Take good care of it and it will take good care of you! Congrats!

Don't spin (fast) on ice or snow with switch in 2 wheel drive, the centrifugal force of the rollers in the front differential will overcome the springs that hold them in the disengaged position resulting in broken roller cage assembly and or a snaped u-joint. Your owners manual clearly states that when the switch is in the 2 wheel drive position your ATV is in 2 wheel drive at all times, but I have had my machine violently engage the front wheels several times last winter, breaking parts on two occasions. My dealer replaced a u-joint the first time it broke under warranty and told me to be sure to engage the 4 wheel drive when driving on ice or snow (not much fun). The second time it broke ( I was spinning around in 2 wheel drive because it's fun) my dealer replaced the front differential under warranty but charged me for labor. I am still trying to get a response from polaris on this problem and a answer as to why I was charged a labor fee for warranty work. So far no response using the contact page on their web site, when I called the customer satisfaction department I was told my dealer could answer my technical repair questions, but he can't or won't. As far as the labor charge for warranty work, I am still trying to get a response from polaris.
Other than the 2 wheel 4 wheel problem in winter it's a fun machine to ride, handles well and rides the rough traills decently. Check your radiator if you ride in deep puddles, the screen that protects it also makes it difficult to flush clean.

That's not the way it's supposed to work, you've probably heard that quite a few times by now. I've done plenty of snow and ice donuts with out front wheel engagement while in 2WD. It's too bad you can't get any answers from Polaris, so hard to get a hold of them. I found the best way to get a response is to send a physical letter via snail mail, however, even then I got vague, generic replies. Nobody wants to own up to anything, they just want to make a buck while we serve as their guinea pigs
