Default MV7 should I

Thinking of getting MV7. Local dealer said he will meet best price I can find. I can get the MV7 for $ 500 more than a std 700 sportsman. Is it worth the extra $ for the winches, and reinforced frame, etc? Its my first quad. Thanks....

Maybe I should add that Im 6'6" and wt is 325. Live in the NM mountains and will use the quad for hunting and fishing remote spots. I'm told there are some nice %00+lb elk near but way up in the mountains.

Comprably the SP line is already heavy, whats a few more pounds for the greatly improved rigidity and ability of the MV7?

The winches are worth around 500 bucks themselves, I say go for it.

Hell yes go for it thats a great price. As long as you dont plan on doing much sport riding and do mostly work , hunt, exploring and utility stuff.

The MV7 seems to be the "utility" of all utility quads. If thats what your gonna use it for, defintely get the MV7. Which the SP700 would be great for all that same stuff too, just not as good. Being 6'6" and 325 doesnt matter, except your knees are probably gonna be touching your elbows no matter what you ride.

Oh yeah, and the winches and extra frame work are DEFINITELY worth the extra 5 bills.

the major thing is that it weighs 1000 lbs

if your gonna use it for work, hunting and touring,,,,then sure

i wouldn't try keeping up with other quads,,,,,and for cryin out loud,,,,,don't get caught between the MV7 and the ground,,,,it will crush you

i like the MV7 a lot, for what you describe

For your purpose and with your build you’ll love the MV. It’s a rock-solid machine with plenty of winch power if you stick it, excellent range with the extra fuel tank and the capacity to carry most anything you could think of putting on those massive racks. I almost bought one. What stopped me was I wanted EFI and we ride a lot of mud. It looked to me like you could spend a whole day cleaning mud out of that “exoskeleton” and still not get most of it. I’d still like to own one though, just something about it.

Yup the MV7 is a big one. Don't worry about the big dogs passing you, they'll be slowing down to check out your ride. Plus a pull-start and racks big enough to pitch a tent on aint bad either.
