I had a few people ask where you could find the scrambler bumper and winch kit. Here is one on ebay. for some reason, polaris has quit making them. I have one on mine and love it. It works awesome.

Do you know how much Polaris sold this for before it was discontinued? Have you had any problems with your Scrambler over heating with the winch blocking some of the radiator? Does anyone think this would be a problem? How bad does the front want to dive down when you jump? I would like to have a winch on the front for hill climbing, but it scares me a little while jumping. What is everyone's opinion, front or back?

warn also makes a rear mount for the scrambler. but it mounts to where a rack or grabbar would mount. so it would hinder the use of those accessories, plus it blocks the rear tail light.

so there aer sacrifices to be made when getting a winch. but hey! at least you wont be stuck!!!

I have had absolutely no problems with overheating. In fact, the winch has worked awesome! I also bought the upgrade kit for it which came with a small rocker switch and the newer solinoid. If you are worried about jumping, check out my pictures, i think that will answer your question. the best investment I have made for my bike except for the tires. good luck.

The polaris price on that was not cheap, I think around 499 or so. if you can get it (bumper and all) for 300 or less, you made out.

What size tires are those on your 03 scrambler? I am stuck between mudlites and bearclaws; how do the bearclaws perform?

bearclaws without a doubt. have had both. do a search for tires for scrambler and you'll find plenty of info. good luck. oh, those are the same size that originally came on the bike.
