Toggle switch mount ? any ideas
I am looking to mount 2 toggle switches on my handlebars somewhere to run auxillary lights on my Sportsman 500.
I really cannot seem to find a good place nor find anything that would look good.
Does anyone have pics of a (trick) switch mount that is neat & clean? Please post them if you do.

That is a good question.
I did this already, I drilled a 3/4" hole on each side & put in plastic switches from Radio Shack.
Well guess what happened-the switches went out.
The new lower black pod is $ 40.00 from Polaris & I was just trying to see what other guys do before I drop $ 40.00 on a $ 1.00 plastic part & start over with drilling holes in it.

Too much draw ,too little switch was the culprit.
The new toggle ones can carry the load- I think I have stumbled across something to make it work nice.
The relay idea will work too. Just didn't want to try to cram it inside the pod. It is always nice to have other ideas & pics to see what other people do.
Thanks again for you suggestions.

Plus by using a relay you really open up your options to use just about any switch, even the pretty, small, clean electrinics or automotive switches. The relay can be mounted just about anywhere, it dont have to be in the pod, just try to keep it fairly dry.
