Find out if the Police filed a report and get a copy of it. You may have to pay for it, but shouldn't be much. If no report was filed, then they probably questioned your ex and they know she sold it. The quad is in your name and not hers? Like someone suggested, contact the Department of Motor Vehicles in your state and find out if the VIN is flagged as stolen.

Edge, I gotta ask. Are you for real? I noticed on a few other posts that I have replied on you are there asking questions about ignition, timing, compression, going 120mph and clutches. If your quad got stolen a few months ago, why are worried about tuning and modding it to make it faster? Shouldnt you be finding ways to get it back? Why do you keep saying VIN #'s, its a VIN #, not plural, your quad only has one VIN #. Then you say your looking into buying a 1000cc Hyabusa? Theres no such thing, Everybody knows that a Busa is a 1300cc bike, if you did any research on a Hyabusa at all you would know that, especially since thats what they are known for. Then you say you have kept up the regular maintenance on your scrammy "and it still runs like new" I copied that from a post you made Tue May 24, 2005 6:25 AM, the day before you made this thread. Im not saying your a thief, but whats the deal? Are you a Liar? Please tell me that this thread isnt a big waste of everybodies time. Do you just get bored and make stuff up then get upset when somebody comments on your ficticious problems? The only thing I believe is that youre not a very credible person.

if the police wont help you out it must be in her name instead of yours. if it is in your name report it stolen yourself.

oondaddy....find out facts before you open your mouth. did it ever occurr to you in your small pea brain that, oh my god, i could have had 2 quads? dips***. its ignorant people like you that make me want to commit suicide whenever i think about the human race being so stupid. or wait... maybe i could have bought another one after the other one was stolen? god people amaze me sometimes with their stupidity. but if you must know i have a 2002 scrambler 400 2x4 and i used to have a 2004 suzuki LTZ 400, which is the one that was stolen. happy? any other questions you want me to answer? christ

and 2c3? it is in my name, but they wont help me because of a county conflict. it was stolen from a county diferent from where i live and some political bull****. i dunno exactly but it pisses me off.

If there are jurisdictional issues, go to the State Police.

i wish. but good ol ohio doesnt have state police. we have highway patrol and they wont touch it unless its on a state highway. i went to both counties prosecuters and talked to them, i even went so far as to go to a judge and even he said getting the cops to do anything was about useless.

I agree, this is the second post I've seen with your name and issues coming up like that. First time I was thinking, "this guy is just standing his ground". This time is enough to make a lot of us ignore posts with your name. You want to blow off steam at a person then do it personal, not in the thread. I like my son to read these posts to learn more about quads. Threads like this are worthless once you start the ranting. It is a waste of time to argue, just let it go and make them look bad when they keep pushing something and nobody is paying attention.

remember your quote RacinJason:

"To laugh often and much
to win the respect of intelligent people;
and the affection of children
to earn the appreciation of honest critics;and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better.
Whether by a healthy child, a garden patch
,or a redeemed social condition;
To know one life has breathed easier
because you lived;
This is to have succeeded."

I agree with mtpockets in regards to the attorney. If you are the owner of the quad, and hold the title, then you should contact an attorney to bring a lawsuit against her for the quad. You may not have the cooperation of the police on the search of the quad, but maybe the lawsuit will convince her to tell you who she sold it to, and then you can find out who is possession of your property. I am pretty sure that no matter what county you are in, possession of stolen property is illegal. I don't think running the VIN # through the DMV will help, because if you still hold the title to the quad, then obviously the person who has it now won't be registering it. Good luck, hopefully you will get it back.
