SP500 pulling a Ford Escort.

Ok we have a 1994 Escort sitting beside the garage after my girlfriends 17 year old used it for a year it is worth nothing if you ask me but someone is actually going to give us 500 bucks for it. Well of course it would not start, sitting for a year, so it is parked the wrong way cannot get cables to it , so i decide hey good reason to use the SP, hook it up and it was pulling it but really hard all 4 tires were spinning on are tar drive way, i stop look in the car to see if in neutral and parking brake off, yup all is good, so i am like what the hell? Well get back on really give her hell notice neither back tire is turning! for some reason they are locked solid, well the SP will drag an Escort on dry tar for at least 15 feet(yeah it took me that long to realize that the tires were not moving) , that is when I stopped, belt never ever made a noise! 1700 miles on it. Now if anyone wants to hook there machine up to it and give her a pull . no problem if you get going really good don't stop keep going to the nearest junkyard! LOL

I've pulled a 1984 Toyota 2wd extended cab long wheel base truck on grass/dirt with my Cat. It had it'parking brake on(rear wheels were locked) and I didn't noticed till the front wheels of the truck got stuck in a 6" ditch. After I realized that I disengaged the rear wheels and was on my way. I then pulled the truck up some "oil change ramps". A week lata after that, we sold it and I pushed the it on a taddem axle trailer with only the rear wheels cause the front wheel were in the air.

Right it is no big deal to pull a small car, but the back tires are locked up and will not turn, I could have pulled it for as long as I wanted. I was actually impressed with the fact my SP was dragging a car on tar. should see the skid marks looks like the Escort burned a patch of rubber for 15 feet with both back tires.

So much for the thought of belt driven quads being junk.I have pulled full size PU trucks to the parking lot of our local riding area before.I've also pulled out a few small 2wd trucks out of the mud before.2wks ago, myself and a friend on his Grizz both pulled out a 4x4 1/2 ton Ford out,he was caught on a rutt,

Well it's pretty easy to pull Fords, especially those little escorts...LOL.
I pulled my JD riding lawnmower out of the mud(don't ask what I was doing)with my 200SX and it worked ok...their was a bit of slipping but it finally pulled it out.

ATV_MAN What were you doing??????
Really there is no shame in taking your lawn mower mudding. When I went to my friends house one day, it had rained that night before and we were bored. He had just bought a new Craftsman mower and one thing popped into our minds. That thing was pretty good in the mud besides that limited slip deal in the rear, then I pulled him out. Its fun, you all should try it.
