Default Which one?

Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new 4 wheeler in a couple months. I owned a scrambler a few years ago and loved it. Now I can't decide between another scrambler 500 4x4 or a sportsman 500. I will be riding mud holes and trails. I'm concerned that where I'll be riding the scrambler may not have enough ground clearance. There are existing ruts from others 4x4's. My main question is can you slide and fishtail much at all with a sportsman? I really like the splash protection the sportsman offers over the scrambler also. Thanks.

you will be able to slide some, but it will never compare to a striegh axle...the IRS may make it seem more tippy. I dont know how hardcore polaris you are, but look at other manufactorers such as kawasaki. They have plenty of power to pull you through anything and it has the SRA (assuming you either get a prarie or the 650 brute)

I like other manufacturers offerings as well, but really am hooked on the polaris 4x4 system. In my opinion its the best out there; at least for my needs.

I don't think you will have a problem with a SP, I have a 700 and my brother in law have a 500
I do not have a problem sliding it nor does my brother in law. Plus the ground clearance and traction or awesome go for the SP

I'm leaning towards the sportsman. Maybe the 06 models will have some features that may make it easier to decide. (EFI)
