i finally got a brand new red '05 sportsman 500 HO. it is an awesome machine. i started breaking it in today and reached 58 mph on pavement. im hopin it will reach 60 by the time its fully broken in.
the only probelm is the rear rack will vibrate and hit the plastic fenders at all engine speeds. if i push down on it with my hand, it stops. and yes all of the bolts are tight. has anyone else had this probelm. im thinking of putting plastic washers underneath it to keep it from hitting the fenders. but i dont know. thanks for any help

 

I've had this problem before with previous Polaris models...like you said, I just put some washers in there and it stopped.
