Looking at adding a larger diameter flanged exhaust outlet so i can add a snorkel. I can't stand the bogging when I submerge the tailpipe.

Has anyony cut off the OEM nipple? I was thinking of going to a 2", but an unsure if it would be too loud. I would then flange it so I could add my snorkel as needed.

Last week I took a peice of "radiator" hose...yes the rubber kind......clamped it to the outlet of my muffler....on a 2000 325 magnum.Ran it about 20 minutes...then I started to notice a not so nice odor.Hose was HOT but not visibly damaged.Took it off...Ran yesterday over 5 miles down a creek, never smelled a thing.I believe the water kept it cool.....Bottom line is that for those of us that don't need a full time snorkel, this can work very well for deep "crossings"....But NO WAY for riding much distance.
