tranny noise, ebs problems, leaky storage compartments ..... the ebs i understand, cuz i've never really been happy in that respect w/ my 700, seems to just slide down instead of creeping.

All the Sportsmans have tranny moise. They allways have. Polaris never claim the storage compartments are water tight, and they have the smae EBS the other sp's have. If you are sceptical about the new 800 then dont do it. Is it worth the axtra 60cc's.

Unless your really unhappy with your 700,I cant see switching.
I have the 800 and love it.
What ebs problem?
The storage leak is nothing to me,hell I dont even keep the plugs in so the water drains right out.
.
Have you ever been the the Steamboat Brewery?A friend of mine is(was)one of the owners.
Sold it a couple years back.
He still spends his winters there, has a place on one of the trails.

The EBS and tranny noise is the same as what you have in the 04.5 700. My brother has one. As far as storage. The front does a much better job. The rear can be made much better if you take the time to take the storage box out and seal it with silicone.

I love mine. My brother joked on selling his 04.5 700 to a friend so he could get the 800. That was after riding mine.

The 800 rides even better than the 04.5 700 as well. The stock tires are a little better as well.

good luck

I know that Dirt Wheels did a review of the 800 when it first came out. They talked about how they burnt up 2 drive belts in it and that the AWD system didnt work right.
I think the dual exhaust is cool, not sure if Id trade in a 700 Sportsman on one though. If it were me Id go down to a 500, a 600, 700 or 800 is really overkill.

i'd wait until polaris came out with a real 800, or something closer to an 800 than a 750.
