snorkels ?

I'd say just grab some flexable pipe or some pvc and play around a little bit. Use some rtv to seal up the joints and fashion a hat for it kind of like a chimney hat so any water that splashes up won't have a chance of falling into the intake. You will loose some performance since the extra plumbing will restrict the airflow. these are just some Ideas I had because i have been thinking about doing the same thing just for fun. I love to tinker

If I were you I would go with hot PVC (Its tan in color, not white) because it is stronger than the regular PVC, but I would not use rtv to put it together. I think that the PVC cement will do just fine and probably better than the rtv because that is what its made for. It chemically bonds the PVC together so that its water proof and very strong. Going this route wont cost you a lot because PVC is cheap and available at any hardware store. Plus they have joints and elbows at many different angles so you can route it in many different ways. If you plan on being in mud/water deep enough for a snorkel to be useful the you might also think about putting the extension on your exhaust. That way if it does die in the water, your engine wont fill up with water coming in through your exhaust.
