I know Barb Bajema very well. She is awesome. If you talk to her, tell her John Bonacci from NexGen Wireless says hi. As far as business, yes we are in a Partners market. I am in a shopping mall, I used to have two stores but I sold my other one. I love being in the mall, but the hours are a lot. I did 589 phones in January (Barb told me I was 9th in the nation). That is all out of one store. Our numbers depend on the mall traffic, last month sucked, we only did 50, but this month we are on pace to do over 300 (have to love the $100 deposit). Our accessory sales are through the roof every month. It amazes me how many accessories I sell a month. I think the reason is because I only sell Motorola accessories, none of that aftermarket crap that every one else sells. I am in the process of signing up a couple of sub dealers. My goal is to have at least 5 subs by X-mas and another store opened by summer next year. That should guarantee me at least 150 phones a month consistent.

We don't have the ups and downs of a mail store. It will sure make you learn how to manage cashflow though. We do on average 275-300 through all of our carriers each month. We stopped selling all of the cheapie accessories a while ago. We don't sell as much motorola as we do high end aftermarket. The quality is just as good and some of the items are actually OEM for motorola.
You get what you pay for with a $.38 car charger or $.30 holster :-)
Good luck!

I think the worse part is this. I always tried to buy from my local dealers. I have bought 4 motorcyles and 3 atvs in the last 4 years (thats $50grand) thinking I would get better treated in service or discounts on parts or next purchase. That never happened. I would always talk them down in price a little but never like I was ripping them off. I just never pay more than retail including taxes. The sales guys are always great and freindly but after you buy it they dont care a bit to speak to you and cant help you out on anything else. So that is the last purchase I made from high dealers. I purchased on whoever I could get the cheapest and wouldnt you know the place I get it the cheapest is the place that gives me the best service. I say always by from the cheapest on your major purchase. There is a reason why they can sell them that cheap and make profit. they know how to run a business. If the locals cant sell for the price and offer quality service they dont need to be in business in the first place. This applies to not just ATV's also. Business is Business know matter what your selling. The cheapest place I got quoted on where I bought my Escalade from is also the place that gives me the best service.
