I need a transmission or just the right side aluminum case for a 99 4x4 scrammy. I heard you could use a transmission from an explorer and then have lowrange. Any ideas anyone have one?

I take it you broke your drive chain and it put a hole in your tranny case. Same thing happened to me. I welded mine up and it works fine. Take a look at my pictures. You just need to check for leaks when you get it done.

 

either weld it or get the xplorer 400 one , ied personaly get the xplorer one b/c then you will have low gear

 

i have one for sale if you don't mind,'99 400 4x4 tranny,would be awsome to ship tought cauze those thing weight a lot...later

 

Actually the chain didn't break it just cracked from the output shaft straight down to where the gasket is and leaked like hell. Scramblered how much do you want for you'rs? Is it a 99 Xplorer or scrammy?
